Hey guys I hope you all are well. 🙂 Lately I have been seeing and hearing the phrase “Change the way you think and change you life” (or similar quotes to that extent) a lot. While this quote is very profound I really want to actually implement it into my life. Since I know I struggle with coming across as confident I thought this would be something I could work on to improve.
After some thinking I came to the realization that people often really don’t know you and probably don’t care about you that much, so why not be super confident all the time!?! This is especially true in situations where you will only have a brief encounter with someone. This confidence does not mean arrogance it means you are just playing with who you really are and how you wish to be preserved by the world, because it really is up to you.
Even if at the moment your life is not going that well you can still be perceived as confident. This new found feeling might just be the thing you need to start to make some awesome and exciting changes in your life.
It simply starts with standing tall and proud as well as having open body language (literally anyone can do this part).
Making some eye contact with the person or people you are interacting with, it gets easier to do the more you practice!
Small but meaningful talk, I actually don’t mind small talk. As much as deep and meaningful conversations are amazing, sometimes its nice just to chat about your mutual appreciation of chocolate ice cream or what ever pops up in conversation.
Remembering you are a human just like everyone else, no better or worse. You are a great person and the world needs to see you for you. This mindset will help you with the above ideas.
So I am challenging you to challenge your own beliefs about yourself, most people have been thinking the same thing about themselves for as long as they can remember.
Next time you go anywhere just try standing a bit taller, repeat a few times in your head that you are awesome and funny, smile and make some eye contact. Who knows what kind of awesome things may arise. 😉
Also, I hope you like this style – I found this awesome top at an op shop and I knew it had to come home with me, I just love the eye catching color combination.
Take care guys and dare to be seen,
Anna 🙂 x
