Hey guys, how has the past week been? Mine has been good and as always I have made a few realizations about life. I have also watched a couple of Fringe shows – how awesome has Fringe been? The whole atmosphere in Northbridge came to life, although unfortunately if you did not get a chance to check it out you will have to wait for next year.

I thought I would write about some of my thoughts on “Girl Power” and what it means to me. This is a topic I think is very important to think and talk about as I know a lot of people out there would be experiencing these same feelings.

I think every woman once in a while feels that it can be harder to have a voice and that her advice is inferior, it has happened to me so many times!

Although I do think it is getting easier to be heard as a woman. Women (and men) need to work on there own strengths to develop them, both are different and very important in this world.

Women out there should know that other women are not your enemy and you can learn a lot from them. Naturally women are more judgmental but it shouldn’t mean that these women who work with you or are in a similar social circle as you are your enemies, they could be a great friend or able to help you out in life. They could be someone you can work with not against. The reason I know this is because I have felt this a lot in the past and I also have seen other women as a threat to me when really we all want the same thing: love and happiness. If you do feel jealous of another woman, this should be a good sign as that feeling is showing you things you want in this life. This is the kind of woman you want to be your friend, someone who is inspiring and who has similar life views and goals as you. Sometimes you just have to be the first person to be nice and make the effort, which is always tough but ultimately rewarding 😉 .

Hopefully this post was helpful to remember we are all in this together.

My aim for this blog is many things. But most importantly it is to remind you to keep moving forward, no matter what and to think in ways that will personally empower you and not bring you down. This does not happen overnight and why I think it is good to have reminders about it 😉 .

Or else just take a look this relaxed weekend outfit and get some styling ideas 🙂

Take care and dare to be seen.

Anna 🙂 x
